There are those times. Those times when you have a purchased garment you want to add a little somethin'-somethin' to. Such is the case with this blouse. As it hung on the rack, the fun shape and interesting, puffy sleeves were apparent, but something was indeed missing. Enter multiple pieces of black trim, lace, and a few sparkly stone bees. The soft black entredeux lace around the neck, the gingham check ribbon, and fancy bees are from Embellish. The other black lace and trims are miscellaneous pieces from my stash. A fair amount of time was spent playing with placement; adding and taking away; and modifying choices. After everything was stitched on, some by machine and some by hand, I decided to continue on by hand-embroidering little French knots around the lace at the neckline. To complete the adventure, a little bee landed on the back shoulder.
