The Gemma sweatshirt pattern from Named Clothing had been resting in the pattern basket for some time. We had been patiently waiting until just the right knit made its appearance. As soon as this knit popped up at Silhouette Patterns, we knew it would be the perfect companion for the Gemma. Earth-tone flecks and gold lurex counterpoint a minty-green shade on a uniquely-varied texture. Flip the chunky side to reveal chubby ribs; each is worthy of display! After twisting and turning and experimenting with the direction of each pattern piece, we cut the puzzle out. Just the front of the sweatshirt has seven pieces! A few modifications were made: an inset was added to the lower sleeve; the collar was narrowed down just a smidge and a tiny slit added; and a couple of grommets along the bottom allow our clay cording to run through. For the final touch, we added the smokey cord tips.
